Wow! I can hardly believe that Eli is 12 years old. It seems like just yesterday that we were talking about how blessed we were that our 4th baby didn't mind all the noise in our house and now here we are 12 years later still appreciating some of the very same qualities in our wonderful Eli. It is difficult to adequately express what a perfect addition to our home Eli is...but somehow I feel that I must at least--if only for posterity's
sake--try to describe who Eli Alexander Nilsen is today. He is happy, and smiles freely. Eli does not do anything that would deliberately draw attention to himself and because of that he is sometimes overlooked. I have never known anyone that seems to be quite as patient as Eli is...he quietly waits for me to remember or get around to things that I have said I would do for him. In the last few months I have even gotten irritated because he doesn't persist in bothering me enough--can you even imagine! He loves his family and shows this in every action and deed. His room is almost always a mess, he is a great student, and a joy to be around!
