Band Hero

For the past 5 hours everyone has been playing Band Hero--taking turns singing, drumming and strumming the guitars! This was the family gift that we got this year...and indeed the big splurge considering our current financial situation. I have been busy coming and going. Making shrinky dinks with Claire, playing chess with Boyd, and doing stuff on the computer. Right now as I am sitting here in the living room surrounded by my 7 gorgeous children listening to them pound on drums and Wii guitars and my sweetheart is singing "She will be Loved"...I have to smile. When the chorus kicks in everyone in the room is spontaneously joining in. Boyd is rocking on the guitar--it is priceless. Even Ike has belted out a couple of songs! Eli, his quiet self has done it all! Oh my goodness now Claire and Sam are singing the Taylor Swift song, "Love Story"--they are so sweet. Sam is such a super big sister.

What a wonderful moments these are...I wish that I could capture them and save each one in a bottle for other days. These are the memories that fill the recesses of my heart and I pull out during the moments that are too quiet.
